The new school of hip-hop was a movement in hip-hop music starting 1983-1984 with the early records of Run-D.M.C. and LL Cool J. Hip-hop came predominately from New York City. Some new school artist are NF, Jay Cole, Joyner Lucas, Logic , Kendrick Lamar and many more.
